Quality & Development

Samy-Ayed-group

The factory operates with a fully automated control system across all stages of production

There is no human intervention in the manufacturing process, relying entirely on SCADA / PLC software for operation, in order to achieve:

  • Precise raw material dosing with no errors

  • Consistent production of every batch with no deviation from the required product standards

  • Detailed reports for all manufacturing operations

There is no manual intervention in weighing the raw materials or determining their ratios inside the mixer.
all steps are controlled by industrial software (PLC / SCADA) that provides:

High accuracy in weighing each component in kilograms and grams

Consistency in the composition of every production batch, regardless of operating pressure or shift changes

Electronic logging of every process (Traceability), which can be reviewed at any time to link any issue to a specific batch

Result: True consistency in feed quality from one batch to another, with a significant reduction in the likelihood of human error.

The most advanced pelleting system in Egypt

The pelleting system at Samy Ayed Group operates with a triple-shaft conditioner, ensuring sufficient steam saturation of feed ingredients for optimal conditioning:

Thermal sterilization of feed

  • Adequate exposure to heat and steam helps reduce the microbial load in feed, especially harmful bacteria.
  • Proper conditioning temperatures combined with sufficient exposure time help reduce the microbial load in feed, especially harmful bacteria.

Improved Nutrient Availability

  • Heat and steam break down the crystalline structure of starch, converting it into a more gelatinized and digestible form, while increasing the availability of protein and amino acids.
  • This improves the bird’s utilization of metabolizable energy (ME) found in corn and other grains, helping to enhance feed conversion efficiency.

Feed Pellet Quality

Steam increases pellet durability (Pellet Durability Index) and reduces fines, which minimizes feed wastage in feeders and ensures uniform feed consumption.

Scientific Benefits

Thermal sterilization of the feed

Thermal sterilization of the feed

  • The conditioning temperatures plus sufficient exposure time help reduce the microbial load in the feed, especially harmful bacteria.
  • This increases feed safety and reduces the transmission of microbes through the feed.

Starch Gelatinization

Starch Gelatinization

  • Heat and steam break down the crystalline structure of cereal starch and convert it into a more digestible gelatinized form.
  • This improves the bird’s utilization of metabolizable energy (ME) in corn and other grains, and helps enhance the feed conversion ratio under proper management.

Improving Nutrient Availability

Improving Nutrient Availability

  • Gradual thermal conditioning facilitates the breakdown of bonds between starch, protein, and fiber, increasing the bioavailability of protein and amino acids
  • The efficiency of feed additives (enzymes, yeasts, probiotics, etc.) is improved

Feed Pellet Quality

Feed Pellet Quality

  • Proper conditioning before pelleting increases pellet durability (Pellet Durability Index) and reduces the amount of fines
  • This reduces losses in feeders and ensures uniform feed consumption in poultry houses or livestock pens.

Laboratory

Quality Control System.

Samy-Ayed-group

A fully equipped laboratory with the latest analytical instruments.

At Samy Ayed Group, we believe that product quality starts with selecting the raw materials; therefore:

No raw material is accepted until it has been tested and verified to meet the required standard specifications.

Energy

Fiber

Moisture

Fat

Calcium

Phosphorus

The latest devices for detecting mycotoxins to ensure raw materials are free from:

Aflatoxins

Trichothecenes (e.g., DON, T-2)

Fumonisins

Ochratoxin

NIR Device – Near Infrared Spectroscopy

The laboratory is equipped with an NIR device for comprehensive analysis of feed raw materials, including amino acids and mineral salts.

One of the quality standards at Sami Ayed Group is ensuring the quality and safety of the final product before it leaves the factory:

Periodic samples are taken from each batch, and tests are conducted on them.

Instant measurement of protein, fat, fiber, moisture, etc.

Monitoring the consistency of raw material quality across suppliers and shipments.

Combining NIR and wet chemistry provides a balance between speed and accuracy, making the decision to accept or reject raw materials a scientifically documented one.

Samy-Ayed-group

One of the quality standards at Samy Ayed Group is ensuring the quality and safety of the final product before it leaves the factory.

Periodic samples are taken from each batch and tested for:

The physical appearance of the feed pellets

Hardness and durability

Moisture content and free water levels

Nutrient analysis to verify manufacturing quality and compliance with the feed’s nutritional specifications

With this system, feed is transformed from a simple “raw material mix” into a scientifically monitored product at every step—from the moment raw materials arrive until the bag leaves the factory.
